Midnight Minute

  • After Trost

Their talks often came with the unspoken understanding that her feelings weren't unrequited they were just…inconvenient. Even still, it was rare for Petra to be so timid. "Petra, you've told me difficult things before; what's stopping you now?" Petra had sighed at his words and struggled to hold his gaze, "Because Captain. I'm not sure I'll like the answer so...I'm afraid to ask."

  • Dropping My Guard

Tenten accepted the fact that Neji would always be a dream she could never obtain. She was satisfied with watching him from a distance and being his friend. It wasn't much, but she was happy with things staying just the way they were. The way she saw it, could one ever ask for anything more than happiness?

  • Stronger than the Whiskey

Hanji was surprised to see Levi drinking like he was. He was drinking to forget the memories of the most recent expedition, but it was those same memories, those cruel experiences, that pushed him to fight when others would give up. Levi could not start to cave under pressure. Not now, not when there was too much unknown. Hanji frowned, grabbing the glass from him, "Levi, enough."

  • Regret

Regret was a funny, awful thing. Looking back, Levi wasn't sure what he really could have done, or maybe should have done differently, yet even still the constant pang of regret continually gripped at his awareness, clouding his judgement and deterring his sleep. It was true; he missed her. It was Valentine's Day and he was alone at her grave, and gods, did he miss her.

  • Wall's Day Miracle

Petra could not believe what Levi had said. "I'm doing what exactly, Captain?" With a sigh, Levi responded casually, "The Wall's Day Formal tonight, you're going with me." Petra nodded carefully, "As in like a...?" Levi looked up at her, watching her pointedly, "As in like an order. It starts at eight, so I'll meet you at seven thirty. Don't be late."
