This is an AU where Jackson hired after the shooting as a psychiatrist working with Dr. Wyatt to counsel the surgeons and staff at Seattle Grace. He gets assigned April as a patient, which causes all sorts of drama because of his feelings for her.

ONE-SHOT: This is one way it could have gone. What if April hadn't run into Jackson the day of her wedding and convinced him to go? What could be different, and more importantly, what would have stayed the same? AU 10x12

So this takes place in Season 9 Episode 7, right before the pregnancy scare test results. What would happen if Jackson was the one to be relieved? How would things be different and how would they stay the same due to some role reversals? A retelling of the events following.

This AU starts out with Tara visiting Jax in prison for the first time, set between season 3 and 4. But things are rocky for this couple...Tara and Jax took a break before he went in, Tara not getting past all the crap she went through in season three.

How Jax finds out Tara is back...and both of their reactions. No longer a one shot (because I am weak).

I wanted to write a Tara that is stronger than KS writes her in the show, because realistically, I think she is too smart to put up with all Jax's shit, especially getting cheated on.
