Seven years after she dreamed of a world filled with spirits, Chihiro finds herself wondering if her journey had been more than a dream. She has little time to contemplate this as she becomes mother to her little sister and must put her life on hold.

To her he had been more than a man, more than a symbol really. He had embodied hope, a hope that for her had been a long time coming. Now he was gone. The night the symbol died she escaped her nightmare. She ran, but no matter how far she ran she could not escape the darkness. Then he appeared again, the batman, but he was different this time.
