Jasper and Alice broke up because they both knew they weren't mats. Jasper stayed with the Cullens for a while, but the Major is starting to take control again. Jasper leaves in fear that he'll hurt the Cullens and when he does Alice has a vision that his true mate is in Volterra the only problem: Aro already found her and gave her to Alec to be his mate.
