Marco suffers negative thoughts surrounding his situation and his dependency on Jean. As the days go on, he finds himself associating with Christa, an owner of a flower shop he starts to frequent, and the trio Armin, Eren, and Mikasa who recently move into the city. Mikasa becomes a regular at Jean's job, and it worries Marco as Jean becomes enamored by this new beauty.
