Summary: Its been two days since Sam ejected Gadreel. It happened right after Dean told Sam the entire truth about the Angel possession, tricking him into saying yes and with that the knowledge of all the lies Dean told to cover it up.
A game of truth or dare starts out as fun but then becomes revealing in the most heartfelt way.
The faked voicemail used to push Sam into killing Lilith. Those cruel and hurtful words Sam never forgot are relevant to the boys differences now.
After Dean is cured. The brothers whether the little bumps in healing their relationship which brings them closer.
Dean struggles to deal with the cruel things he said and did to Sam as a demon. Most notably trying to kill him.
The boys have moved past Dean being a demon but their relationship is newly healed and fragile, and it seems like they can't catch a break. Not until Sam finds something left behind by the previous guest in their motel room. On their first job since Sam cured Dean.

Cain offers Sam an unusual deal to free Dean of the mark.
Castiel's idea on how to cure the mark is something Sam can't support because it puts Dean's life in jeopardy. However Dean decides its worth the risk to try it and does so without telling Sam. Which for Sam is Dean making one too many choices for him and it leaves Sam questioning where he fits in and if they are a team anymore.

With Dean cured, Sam planned for months on giving his big brother the best Christmas ever.
Dean tries a different dating app and this time spends the night with a beautiful woman. But the following morning the mark which Dean denies is responsible for his increasingly hostile behavior, often times directed at Sam, raises its ugly head again.
Feeling unable to move past his actions and behavior as a demon, Dean's frustration ends up hurting Sam.
With Dean human again the boys work on healing their relationship. But it doesn't take much for the hurt to be explosive.
Sam pulled Mia closer as they moved slowly across the dance floor. Under the starry night sky a gentle breeze caressed them, adding to the bittersweet perfection of their last night together. For tomorrow she would be on a plane headed back to college and Sam would be on the road with Dean heading to a new job.
