Pureblood families often have dowries or challenges that a male suitor must fulfill to marry one of their daughters. Harry Potter becomes intrigued at the challenge that is required to obtain Daphne Greengrass's hand in marriage. It seems simple enough, catch a kitten and take the key from around its neck, but as more and more would be suitors fail Harry's interest only grows.

After Voldemort is resurrected, Harry takes a more serious outlook on his education and training so he can be better prepared for the next time they will inevitably meet. Dumbledore chooses not to ignore Harry in his 5th year, but instead decides to push up his planned training a year. Meanwhile a pretty Slytherin and Harry start running into one another and a friendship develops.

Instead of making a new story for all of my random one shots and ramblings, I'm going to throw them all in here. Each chapter will be a different story and include a brief summary at the beginning. The stories themselves will all be Harry Potter themed and fairly short (Less than 5,000 words), but if there's a story that people like I may flesh it out and publish it as a real story

First Fanfic! My take on a Harry/Daphne relationship story. It takes off at the beginning of book 5, but isn't going to be following it too closely. Going to feature a more powerful Harry later in the story who has a bit more spine and isn't as whiny. Very slow build up to the relationship between the two of them.
