  • Let Justice Prevail

Concussion symptoms recurring for a ballplayer brought about this combination of MMs & ATC for Blind Man's Bluff. Matt & Kitty visit Bill Pence & Laura Simmons in Pueblo where the couple now live only to have Matt's hoped for recovery from his returned blindness complicated by Cope Borden's end of Hot Spell threat haunt them.

  • Observations From Not Too Far

A Dodge citizen sees parallels between Matt's reaction to Kitty facing Nip Cullers in Tap Day for Kitty & Henry Cairn in The Dreamers 6 1/2 years later. It just popped into my head as I watched The Dreamers yesterday & thought of a friend's comment that Matt could have done more for Kitty. Not exactly MMs, just a deeper look at a relationship from an observer's POV.

  • Business as Usual

Matt up on Boot Hill reflects on past events that impacted his relationship with Kitty. As he remembers he touches on episodes from season 1 thru 6 with ATCs to both Don Matteo & Big Man.

  • Stage to Hays

Matt & Kitty find trouble that begins with a murder requiring a stage ride to Hays. They're nearly there when the stage is robbed & both are shot. It looks to be fatal. In a small sense this is a sequel to Chance Encounter but only because Hans Siegler appears in both.

  • We Can Work It Out

Matt and Kitty's deepening relationship is at a crossroads when a spat turns to an argument. Becoming an even more connected couple depends on if Kitty accepts Matt's point of view. AN: This takes place right after The Roundup, about 9 months before Kitty buys into the Long Branch and moves completely into her room there.

  • Some Things You Just Can't Forget

What started as a chance to be alone by the river turned into a nightmare. They got back to Dodge but Matt wasn't the same. Set at the start of Season 7

  • San Francisco Interlude

Doc, Kitty and Matt travel to San Francisco and stay with Kitty's friend Julie Blane. It's to be a combination holiday away from the responsibilities of Dodge thanks to both men being asked to speak at conferences. However, all three are tested when they come into contact with that city's underworld when Matt disappears.

  • Matt on Trial

Sheriff Rick Miller may have stopped Matt Dillon from killing Dean Harlow with his bare hands, but that didn't help Kitty Russell. If she died nothing that happened from now on mattered. This is my attempt at meeting Nevada Rose's challenge.

  • The Election

The results of a special election could change everything for Kitty. First Matt has to do his part, if he can. This is an ATC to Dry Road to Nowhere in honor of Election Day and to a lesser extent an ATC to Seven Hours to Dawn.

  • Death Did Them Part

Despite knowing what she'd been through, Matt Dillon must arrest Minerva Cobb for her husband's murder. It's what his badge demands. Will he be able to help her avoid a long prison term when she has her day in court? An ATC to Till Death Do Us Part.

  • That's What Friends Are For

Matt faced a moral dilemma but didn't share his concerns or conclusion with Kitty. Although that problem is resolved, he faces an even greater threat to his mental well-being from her. This is an ATC to Season 10's Honey Pot.

  • Sam's Memorable Day

Sam jots down his observations that began the night before in a crowded Long Branch when a tired Kitty Russell retired to her room for a bit of a rest until her cowboy arrived.

  • You Got a Friend

Nine months after Kitty's arrival neither she nor Matt are sure how close they are or how close they want to be. Kitty's misjudging of a man's character provides the impetus for a friendship to become something very special. Inspired by Carole King's song.

  • Surrender Doesn't Mean the War Is Over

A stranger still carrying on for the honor of the South renews old battle lines for the people of Dodge. This unrepentant general of the Confederacy places himself between Matt and Kitty.
