Travel back in time with me to the very beginnings of Psych. Shawn and Gus recently solved the Spelling Bee case, and now our boys—well—at least Shawn is determined to make Psych indispensable to the SBPD. Someone from Shawn's years of traveling is about to show up and take them down a road they never expected to travel. Will they make it out alive?

It hit me while re-watching 'Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark' that Shawn had no way of knowing for certain if anyone knew he was in trouble. Until Henry and Lassiter show up at the gas station, he couldn't be sure that anyone was looking for him. And just to be clear, this is not a missing scene. This story takes place at least a few months later - maybe longer - it's up to you.

This is kind of an oversized episode tag to 'Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark' - at least it picks up shortly after that episode leaves off. Gus suddenly disappears and Shawn - well, Shawn does just what you would expect him to do. Rated T for whump.
