Regardless of what he was, or what he thought he was, Tonks couldn't help but wonder how a man like Remus Lupin could possibly think so little of himself.

Perhaps Tonks isn't every man's fantasy, but she's his. She's lying beside him, the sheer bulk of her bump producing a small groan as she shifts her weight, and Remus Lupin can't quite believe his luck.

Before Lupin returns to his wife and unborn child, he has a great deal of thinking to do. Returning to his childhood home, he realises he's more like his father than he'd first thought. "You did need him, Remus. That's why he stayed. He needed you too. You grew up to be his best friend. Do you really want to miss that?"
