The dark Lord leaves a young girl with Severus, with the intention of returning for her after he disposes of the potters. Instead he falls out of power and Severus is left with a young charge whom he must take care of until the Dark Lord returns.

This was the original version of a story I've altered since the first ten chapter posting. Its unfinished but I decidedly posted it for the sake of those curious, about what the original version looked like, or simply readers and reviewers that enjoyed.
