Alaric is a dragonslayer who has been summoned to a village to kill a dragon reputed to be the largest anyone has every seen. The night he arrives, he meets Damon in a tavern, and they feel an instant connection. Damon is a weredragon, hiding his identity and living as a blacksmith. He doesn't like it when people try to kill him.
