Gail thought growing up in the Peck household had number her to any pain, but other the last few weeks - months - she's grown to understand that she's not numb. She's been hanging on by a thread and it takes a few simple words to break that thread and send her spiralling into the unknown.

Gail Peck is confident in most things - she's proficient with a pistol and more than effective with a Police issue baton. She's confident in her body and the uses of it when applied to sex with a man, but she's not sure what to do when it comes to having sex with a woman. Holly decides that perhaps the best course of action is show and not tell.

Holly is away at a conference but that doesn't stop Gail missing the good Doctor, resulting in a late night phone call to relieve their shared tension.

The morning after the party to celebrate the end of the war Hermione wakes up in an unknown bedroom, but she doesn't mind the woman that she wakes up to. At the end of a journey the people that are with you do not have to be the ones that were with you at the beginning... This is just a short fluff piece with very little plot, if any.
