Taking place in season 4. It's Valentine's day and love is in the air. At least for some people. But if a date fails or you don't have one at all, what can you do then? Play a game, maybe? Last chapter's up!

A 19 year old Sam gets into college after all and meets a Diane Chambers who's known for constantly having her nose in a book and not being very social. An incident brings the two of them to the agreement of helping each other out; Diane helps Sam with his studies while Sam teaches Diane baseball and indirectly helps her to be more social. All this is to Mr. Chambers' pleasure.

AU twist of what happened between "Rescue Me" and "Birth, Death, Love, and Rice". "He could have sworn it was Diane wriggling her butt on one of the middle tables if it hadn't been for his knowledge that Diane would never agree to do such thing." Or would she? Chapter 4's up!

AU turn of "Knights at Scimitar". Diane is not sure how to react on Sam's kiss. Should she leave it or go further into it? Was it a act of love or dominance? One-shot.

Taking place after "Cheerio, Cheers". Diane returns home after a despairing evening with many questions to be answered. Was she going to Europe with Frasier, or was she going to "call" Sam? Who to choose? Who's the right choice? A second chapter is up: Diane feels the need to call even though she went with Frasier.

Taking place right after "Everyone Imitates Art": She had a published poem. She was a poet. A stinky, drunken poet.

Taking place after "I Do, Adieu ". The truth was, she did in fact call him. And it was the last call that made things turn out the way they did. It was supposed to be a one-shot, but I decided to do Diane's POV too.
