"Most people have a moral compass." She once told him. That was easy to believe, but it didn't make it true.

A very short story that I just quickly wrote out to show my support for the 100 Motive Fics before Season Three Challenge. I'm still not healed from the finale of season two, so this is once more a reflection of that. Hope this story makes sense.

For a moment, he's not drowning anymore. She has tossed him a life preserver and he clings to it tightly, wanting to live, wanting to be present.
