An alternative version of my story entitled ' The Siren Calls Him'. After a perpetually long day Steve Sloan finds the worst by far is yet to come, when the life of one of those closest to him hangs in the balance. Who will survive the night?

Two weeks without a case brings out the worst in Sherlock Holmes and his blogger John Watson. But the boredom is soon shattered when the good doctor is accused of a brutal and horrific crime. When he finds he cannot defend himself will those that he cares for do it for him. Or will he find himself alone and out in the cold?

Danny is devastated to find the greatest betrayal has come from within. Can he and Duplessis heal their broken friendship? Or will he leave Leopard's Den for good? Spoilers for Series 6, particularly episode 6. My version of the Danny/Duplessis confrontation scene.
