Soul Mate AU. As it turns out, Will Graham and Dr. Frederick Chilton are soul mates. Will outright rejects the idea at the start, but the bond formed between them seems to bring them closer together against his own common sense.

Will laid in Frederick's bed, looking sallow but sound asleep. They'd chosen to stay at his place as it had grown late on their night out and they were closer to there than Will's home. Frederick had noticed as he'd driven to his underused, extravagant home that Will wasn't looking good. His skin had paled and there was the sheen of sweat on his brow.

Frederick Chilton has been invited to a gala comprised of his peers and wants to take Will with him, having never had a date to one before. The night doesn't turn out as either expects.

Frederick was a lot of things but killer was not among them. Will glanced out of the window at Jack, who had just parked and was moving to step out onto the snow, and back at Frederick's scared expression. The sliver of guilt grew when he saw himself in the man before him. Frightened, confused, and knowing no matter what was said, no one would believe a word.
