Jack knows his boss is perfectly capable of taking care of herself and is very independent. He also knows she's hiding something, something that's potentially dangerous, and he wants to help her. The problem is, he isn't so sure she wants his help. While out for drinks with Ben and Janice, he tries to get them on board with his plan. Not a romantic story.
Emma finally acknowledges her feelings for Hook after the Wicked Witch of the West almost kills him. He helps her deal with the things she needs to deal with in order to be able to move on and have the relationship she wants to be able to have with him. Based on a few tiny spoilers for 3B. Rated T because Emma's language would make Hook blush if the show wasn't on at 8 PM.
Emma thinks she's going to go through her worst nightmare again, but Killian's there to support her through everything, from the cravings to the mood swings to her initially unsupportive mother. Rated T for language.
"You okay, Mom?" "Yeah," Emma nodded. "For once, she wasn't lying when responding to that question. She might not be okay tomorrow, or the next day, or even five minutes from then, but for the moment, Emma was certain of one thing: she was happy (even with a screaming ex-parasite somehow being fit into the small apartment.)" Or, Snowing welcomes a new baby.
When Emma sustains a minor injury on Killian's watch, he brings her Jello in the hospital to make her feel better. She's touched and unwilling to tell him that Jello doesn't have any magical healing properties. Captain Swan fluff. Rated T for language.
Emma gets in an accident on her way back to the apartment. Things aren't looking good, but her family refuses to give up hope. Instead of focusing on what could be taken from them, they choose to focus on what the accident has given them: the chance to bond and learn about one another, and to finally come together to help Emma like she once asked them to do for Henry.
"They'd both been in life or death situations before -together- but it's always infinitely worse when she's alone and there's nothing he can do to save her. It's a good think she's as remarkable, maddening, and challenging as she is. He decides to add 'resourceful' to that list in his next dedication." Castle's thoughts while watching Beckett after she finally falls asleep.
While Killian helps Emma move into her and Henry's new house, he becomes frustrated when she doesn't let him do all that much helping. She gets hurt, and he tends to her wound. Ice cream and Netflix induced mayhem ensues.
Killian helps Emma deal with her mixed feelings about Ingrid's death. Rated T for Emma's colorful language.
My take on Killian and Emma's reunion. It follows cannon events, but is a bit more meaty and fleshed out because that was't enough Captain Swan for me.
"Emma and Snow were situated on opposite ends of the couch. Snow had her face buried in the newest Nicholas Sparks book, and Emma was playing Candy Crush on her phone. It had become a ritual for them over the past few weeks, having successfully defeated the Snow Queen. Surprisingly, it was Emma who initiated the conversation that made Snow's week." Emma and Snow have a chat.
"'Neal's asleep for once; you should be, too.', Emma said. 'Well, my other baby's up right now, so I'm not off duty," Snow replied. Emma stared into her mug for a moment, trying to formulate a response. She just wanted a cup of hot cocoa, not another heart to heart." Snow and David are determined to fix their relationship with Emma, even if that means dealing with a cranky Emma.
She should be scared. She's clinging to him like he's the only thing tethering her to Earth, sobbing in his arms, yet she feels safe rather than exposed. A year ago she wouldn't have been caught dead crying to someone. Then again, a year ago she wore a black leather dress to a date instead of a frilly, light pink monstrosity. What the hell did New York do to her?
When Emma had said she and Killian understood each other, she hadn't realized just how much they were alike. After almost losing each other twice in forty eight hours, they don't want to be separated. Their fears finally weigh too heavily and they open up to each other. Emma's relieved to tell him why she's been pushing him away, but Killian's pretty relieved, too.
They never knew they needed each other like a sad song needs a sea of lighters. Captain Swan fluff. Rated T for language.
"For the first time since he and Emma returned to Storybrooke, Killian Jones felt helpless. What bothered him even more was that what was troubling him wasn't a formidable foe, but a little baby boy." Killian and Emma are put on babysitting duty. As it turns out, both want to have kids someday (after David gets past his overprotective daddy mode-ness).

I've never had anybody do that for me. Everyone always expects me to let them in without showing me who they are, so… thank you for that." Hook and Emma comfort each other after Neal's death.
