King Robb reigns in the North, but both his brothers are dead and sisters held by the Lannisters or dead. He names his half brother Jon Snow his heir and orders him released from his vows of the Night's Watch. Jon is beyond the wall with the wildlings when the order is sent and thought a deserter. Jon knows he is a Targaryen.
