Class 79 of Hope's Peak Academy decided to spend their summer at a nice beach house by the sea. Ryoma Hoshi didn't want to get involved, and spent his nights alone from the rowdy bunch. This particular night changed. He's swept out to sea by a strong current, and is bitten by something strange. When he wakes up, he makes a discovery that completely turns his world upside down.

Ryoma Hoshi honestly believed he didn't want to survive. He still did, or at least, he made himself believe that, especially after a close call where his classmate Shuichi Saihara showed up and saved his life.
