Kaito is addicted to draining people of their memories and living their whole lives in an instant, leaving them as a dead husk. He hates himself for what he does, yet he can't bring himself to stop and is too cowardly to turn himself in, afraid of his mother's disappointment. And so, he decides to become a hero so that he might repent and save more lives than he has condemned.
