When Emma (a widowed Brit living alone in Gotham City) descends from her apartment to investigate a possible break-in, she discovers a Bat in her bookstore. He gets into more than her hair and she finds herself drawn into a deadly argument about the end ever justifies the means, whether justice is the same as vengeance.
