Clark Kent is dealing with the aftermath of fatally wounding his best friend. He believes he is a danger to those close to him and would be better off if he had no powers. When he hears about a doctor in Metropolis that can cure him of the Meta gene, he jumps at the chance to be a normal boy, but things are not as they seem.
