AU. Tarrlok's fails in his attempt to kill Noatak. Guilt and a sense of duty force Katara to intervene, while other entities see Noatak as a problem to be eliminated or exploited. Meanwhile, the Lieutenant tries to play a poor hand well, and ends up with more than he'd bargained for.
