Someone from deep in Thomas's past visits Downton, who has a profound influence on Chris Webster. Friendships and relationships are rekindled and created, facing there ups and downs. However, a danger from the past threatens to destroy everything.

New year's eve 1931 and Thomas meets Richard at Downton for the firework display, but Richard’s fears threaten to dampen the celebration...unless Thomas can think of something to fix it.

One shot. Thomas is recovering from his suicide attempt and George is keen to cheer him up, leaving him with memories to treasure and look back on several years later.
