After losing to Goku in the 23rd Great Fighting Tournament, Piccolo wanders the earth in search of a suitable training ground. His only drive is to become stronger and defeat Son-Goku in their next encounter to take over the world. One day, he is jolted out of his meditation by a bang and sees a flying capsule hurtling towards the forest he has chosen as his sanctuary.
