Inspired by "Those Who Love Monsters" by "gabriel blessing". This story is told in two parts. The first part is about what happens immediately after Zenkichi turns back to a full vampire. The second part is about Araragi recalling the chain of events that led to the beginning of his tale and nearly arriving at its root cause.

Yu Narukami has just moved into Hinamizawa to spend a year with his uncle, Oishi. His peaceful rural days are soon disrupted, however. To prevent a friend from doing something regrettable, Yu unlocks the power to go into people's minds and fix them with his Persona. Can Yu solve the mystery behind the deadly paranoia plaguing Hinamizawa before it overtakes the whole village?
