The Digidestined have all gathered together at Heighton View Terrace Park and Takeru and Hikari are sitting down at a bench commenting about them. Things seem fine, but there is a gap between them they never bridged. With their lives going in two different directions, Takeru realizes he has to find a way to tell her how he feels about her, and this might just be his last chance.

The Digidestined have returned to the original timeline to play out the Ultimatum. Yet, before the event begins, The candidates for the next Deity Rei Kurenada, The Digital Creator, and Homeostasis have a conversation. Rei reveals his twisted past, his curse, and how he had planned for the downfall of the Digital Creator and both worlds all for the sake of his deification.
