Takes place after Legend of the Saw-Toothed Cave. Nars has been a single father for a few years and is near the time where he pups will grow. He fears he will be alone, however one she-wolf will make those fears disappear.

After his training in Thorn Valley is completed, Timothy and his wife Jenny head back to Timmy's home and meet his family. However, the good times are cut short by the arrival of a mysterious human. This gives way to the discovery of a conspiracy involving not only the Brisbys but all of Thorn Valley as well.

After years of separation, three animals find their way back home.
