It was a crisp autumn morning when he found her.
He craved nothing but power. She wanted nothing but freedom. She knew he would try and take it from her.
"I'm on the wrong side of the war. I got myself into something that I can't get out of." He explains, and his broad shoulders slump, as if weighed down by heavy chains. "I could help you." The words slip out of her mouth before she can stop and think about their implications.
