An accident shakes up Downton and reveals a secret long hiden.

After another financial setback, Robert is feeling depressed and useless. Wishing he'd never been born, a guardian angel shows him what life would be like without Robert Crawley. This is a multi-chapter fic of Robert and Cora's early years. I hope to continue it through the Boar War at least. Ambitiously I might bring it up to the start of the series. But who knows. Cora goes through the grieving process following Sybil's death

Cora is tipped off that her miscarriage so many years ago may not have been a tragic accident...The idea for this story came to me after reading a Tumblr post stating how Julian should have brought the soap incident into light and let Elizabeth and Siobhan act it out. And I thought that would have been great. This is my attempt. AU for O'Brien's departure.
This is my take on the 5th series. Mostly Robert/Cora but all most all major characters make an appearance. Major character death. You've been warned.
