In the wake of the Blood War the Magical world is on the verge of being discovered. In an effort to foster positive opinion, the idea to precede the intro to the magical world to non-magicals as a VRMMO is proposed. Harry is determined to enjoy the anonymity and have a blast. Inspired by SAO and Esama's 'Off the Line' VRMMO stories.

He died surrounded by the people he'd fought for years to save. Darkness could spread into the hearts of the people if they lived in it long enough. His death triggered his return in time though, but now he's not so sure if anyone can be saved at all.

The war has been over for years, and for most the scars continue to heal. But few in the wizarding world have learned from their mistakes, driving away their savior from their shores, from their attitude and arrogance, from their expectations. All is not right with the world, but as one flees and one stays, neither can or will let go of the war that so defined them.

This short fic was inspired by Circular Reasoning by Swimdraconian. It's a brilliant but brutal story, and for those who haven't read it, it starts out in the trenches so to speak, in the ruins of London after war broke out between wizards and spread into the muggle world. It's an open POV fic. Rated M to be safe.
