In an alternative universe, Harry and his parents survive Voldemort's attack, Dumbledore disappears, and Severus Snape is sentenced to serve ten years in Azkaban. A new wizarding law, due to the prison's overpopulation, allows for prisoners of lesser crimes to be sent to live with wizarding families, and serve the remainder of their sentences as slaves.
