Watson had always perceived good fortune in the fact that Holmes' energies were turned in defense of the law. But when a strange countenance overtakes his friend and events turn peculiar and macabre… Well, can we remain quite so sure?

One of the Irregular's pets swallow something precious of Dr. Watson's. In an effort to salvage his pride, Watson makes a decision that, really, probably only makes matters worse for himself (but more amusing for us). An answer to a silly prompt from a friend.

Holmes obtains invitations for John and Mary to attend a ball. Basically, extreme-overload-Warstan-fluffyness. And Holmes showing that, yes, he can be considerate sometimes. (Brain without a heart indeed!)

I wrote this for my friend's birthday. Mycroft very infrequently joins in "the chase". But when he does, it's nice to be reminded that he is quite capable.
