In my SW story Luke is attacked by a Sandman once before when he is four and barely survives. This 'one shot' story is a short conversation just before bedtime with his Uncle Owen who knows his history and has sworn to Obi-Wan to protect him and his Aunt Beru who is doing dishes around the corner.
