Post My Blue Heaven/Au-ish. It all happens in one long night, and Jane and Lisbon's first attempt at dating results in disaster. Between miscommunication issues, the police, a terrible dinner and an ex showing up, will Teresa admit defeat, or will she give her consultant a second chance at making it right? /Written for the Mentalist Bigbang on lj, with cover art by Branquignole./
post s06e22: Jane's heart may have been healed by Lisbon's love, but a relationship needs also physical contact, and Patrick Jane may not be as sure as himself in the bedroom as people used to believe... one-shot, M rated for adult content.
A tag to 6x22, in which Lisbon and Jane leave the TSA holding cell and talk about when they fell for each other, Cho informs Van Pelt he owns her money, and Marcus Pike discovers she'll never text him her flight information...
AU/Noir-ish. SACPD Detective Teresa Lisbon didn't know what she was expecting when she entered room 416 to investigate an apparent robbery, but not surely that her past was going to catch up with her, in the form of family alliances, nor that a blonde gigolo, witness to the murder, was going to turn her world upside down, with an insatiable passion and a killer hot on their tails.
She doesn't regret anything after she leaves the plane and runs in Jane's arms; even if she hasn't know it yet, the life she had chosen with Marcus was just a rebound for what she has alaways wanted- even when she didn't know it yet.
AU/Future fic. After having been apart for a year, Lisbon is ready to welcome back Marcus, her boyfriend, but she is stunned when she is introduced to his fiancèe! But Jane is quick to intervene to save her pride: "Not ten minutes ago Teresa consented to be my wife, too." It's a believable lie, but is it enough of a basys for a relationship- even one that's supposed to be fake?
Normal people keep quiet when the sentence "Speak now or forever hold your peace" is uttered. But Patrick Jane isn't any man- and Teresa Lisbon isn't any woman.
Spoilers for the series finale- So, here they were, all together, ready to bear hug, and what did he have to hear? They already have a consultant. Who, during the case, was in the victim's kitchen. Really. Shawn could already feel a contract coming his way...
