Roland is a singer down on his luck, spending much of his early adulthood chasing a dream of being a star knowing the astronomically small chances of making it. A chance encounter with an Autobot named Smokescreen, who just happened in the crash land in the area, ends up changing the direction of their lives in ways neither expected.

Claude Sheffield was always considered the failure of the three Sheffield children. He was unloved by both his mother and father and overshadowed by his brother and sister. With the departure of his sister on her Pokemon journey, Claude hopes for a change to come to his life. A change that could give him what he wants most, a life where he felt loved and happy.

8 years of normalcy, 8 years of reclaiming a semblance of stability despite having an unstable caretaker, but sometimes there's no escape from the specters of an unstable past. Now 21 and desiring to pursue business, Claude Sheffield tries to enhance that normalcy by taking a vacation to Kalos, a region slowly deteriorating to war over Pokemon and their liberties.
