They're in a stand-off. A silent battle of hurt looks and slight, tilted frowns, and no one really knows who the winner is. All they know is who has to back down.
"Words and phrases like fine needle aspiration and remission and recurrence stick out to him, and for a fleeting moment, he's so sure this must be a dream. But he knows enough about dreams to know what is real." Or: He might not make it to thirty, but he's trying.
He is woken in the early hours of the morning by a frantic voice on the other end of the phone, going on about some man in a nearby hospital. "His records say he died several months ago," she says. "This shouldn't be happening." / Or: He can come up with no conclusion that makes sense, but that's alright. The truth doesn't make much sense, either.
"You can stay here forever," the Reaper promises. "Or you could go back." / Oliver Queen has a choice to make.
"The sudden sight of Oliver Queen holding a gun up to his own head – it isn't exactly the picture of what Tommy would call a serial killer with no remorse." Way alternate ending to the season 1 finale.
Probably (definitely) the stupidest thing I've written to date. Jim and Bones find a jukebox in a diner, and everyone inside is probably going to hate them in about ten minutes. 400 words. I'm not funny.
