hermione's life becomes exponentially better when she begins speaking to her soulmate on her 10th birthday; he's her best friend from there on out-gets her though the worst days without fail. two years later, she draco forge an unexpected friendship no one else can know about, each with no idea the other is the soul mate they believe to be muggle
James proposes. because she loves him, Lily says no. (you'll find the real thing) (you won't remember all my champagne problems)
the war is just beginning. everything is too heavy for Lily to be bothered to care (but she doesn't have to carry it alone-she turns to James to get through it, sad fluff ensues.) / Lily and James grieve their own loss before heading into the fray.
every time they meet, James grows more and more enamored with Lily Evans-then he meets her soul mate Remus. pining ensues. (spoiler: Remus isn't actually her soul mate)
She groaned, but responded patiently. "Yes, Malfoy?" "I love you. Like, so much. Like—I wish I could marry you again. I can't believe you married me." "I love you too, you drunken fool, now go back to the boys, okay? I'll see you at home." or, Draco drunk calls Hermione during girls night to tell her how much he loves her. the conversation veers off course. one-shot.
We've all read some like this before: Annabeth shows up at Goode to surprise Percy, yadayada; basically my interpretation of where things would've gone had Rick continued after BOO and hurt the faves slightly less than usual. I tried to incorporate different ideas, and I promise, as few cliches as possible (no psycho cheerleaders!) Be wary of spoilers. Enjoy!(:
The Hogwarts Express, the year 1991: Harry is to be a first year. But what if from the start, he and Draco were friends-best friends, even? In a surprise turn of events, Harry, Draco, Ron, and Hermione become an unlikely quartet of friends, and their dynamic changes everything, for one son of a Death Eater in particular.
Though Uncle Rick gave us a vague idea of what happens after BOO, we'll always want more, right? This is my idea of what would happen for Jason and Piper post-BOO from Piper's perspective: balancing a relationship, her dad, grief over the loss of a friend, and the aftermath of a war.
