AU. They'd gone back to the past to stop him from enacting his vengeance upon their race as he had in their time, leaving death and destruction in his wake. The irony of it all though was not that he'd followed, but that he'd done so to avert the same fate from befalling the world a second time as well. They, and he, would find such a goal easier said than accomplished however.
