I wrote this in kneejerk reaction to a photo someone posted of a raven holding a biro in its beak. Had to write it. No choice. Slightly AU.

I wrote this five days after we lost Alan Rickman... It's my tribute to him, and something I felt deeply. I hope it helps you cope with the loss of this wonderful man who gave us Severus Snape, even if only because it frees your tears.

Harry has a problem. That problem is Severus Snape, and the fact that their building friendship has made him acutely aware of his feelings for the man. But it seems that at nearly every turn, he misses the opportunity to turn friendship into something more, as Severus' increasing fame makes him one of the wizarding world's most eligible wizards.

This semi-drabble was inspired by a tea mug owned by my English-teacher daughter. (She has the BEST mugs!) It's not a sequel to Heart of the Guardian... but it could be. It's AU for non-compliance with epilogue.
