  • A Home for a Boy Named Ed

These are the misadventures of Roy Mustang and his little son, Ed. A series of one-shots that take place before the events of "A Boy Named Ed". Not written in chronological order.

  • A Boy Named Ed

Ed knew he was different. It wasn't just that he was smarter than the other kids or even that he had automail. No, it had more to do with the way people would occasionally look at him, like they were expecting somebody else. It was the way his mechanic cried the day she met him. It was the way his dad would sometimes slip – and call him Fullmetal.

  • ABNE Infinite Possibilities

Because I spend too much time thinking about A Boy Named Ed, I can't help but come up with all the little what-ifs that come with it. Most of them revolve around Al. What if Al got turned into a baby too? What if Al stayed in Central after returning from Xing? What if Ed didn't remember before Al came back? Those stories are here.

  • Dear Brother

For twelve years, Alphonse stayed away to give his brother a second chance at the childhood they never had. For twelve years, Aphonse wrote his story, chronicling everything that happened so that someday he could share those moments with his brother once again. These are his letters. (Companion to ABNE)

  • I'm Still Here

The armor is empty but my soul remains – I'm here, Brother. I'm still here.

  • Heartbeat

In the wake of the Promised Day, Ed marvels over something so small, yet so very precious.

  • Schism

The last time I saw Al, his hands were pressed against the glass, tears streaming down his face, his mouth wide open, screaming Brother! Brother! as the car drove away.

  • Playing with Fire

Roy should have known better than to leave Ed alone in his office. Ed should have known better than to play with fire.

  • Fullmetal & Shield

A second chance. An opportunity to make a difference. Some things will change but some things are simply meant to be.

  • Fooling Yourself

They took something abnormal, grotesque, inhuman… and changed it so drastically that it could waltz down Broadway in broad daylight and no one would take a second glance. It was breakthrough in science, a medical marvel, plastic surgery at its finest.
