When Harry loses the Sword of Gryffindor in the Chamber of Secrets, only a firm desire to at least make it through to his first kiss, a generous helping of accidental magic, and a healthy dose of phoenix tears let him survive. Unfortunately, it also leaves him with a blind basilisk, an incensed Ginny, and answers that make him wish Lockhart was still around to Obliviate him.

The ungerminated seeds of a story, not quite as dangerous as a Venomous Tentacula to cultivate, but almost as time consuming... These are the beginnings and fragments of Harry Potter stories that I have started, but will likely not be doing anything else with for awhile. Generally speaking, I intend to pursue these at some point though the time and order is still up in the air.

"I would rather date the giant squid than spend one more minute in your presence, James." Childish. Almost certainly hyperbole. But it hurt James a bit more than it should have and Sirius wasn't one to let that kind of thing go. Lily was generally off limits, but perhaps it was time she experienced a true Marauder prank.

The Marauders were a force to be reckoned with at Hogwarts, a singularly effective group of pranksters and completely inseparable. They treated the rules like tissue paper and pulled it off with panache and style- until they went a step too far.

Wherein Dumbledore trades a pair of socks, a package of chocolate frogs, and a warm fire for an extra day in the office and we learn that being well-rested is overrated.
