Sandy drifts to Jack's side, touching his arm gently. A series of pictures over his head, of hands and hugs and smiling faces, and Aster thinks maybe he's telling Jack it's okay to ask for help, that's what friends are for. (In which a Pooka realizes the consequences of a three hundred year isolation, and Jack has no idea that's what friends are for.)

"You aren't planning on bringing that boy in with you tomorrow night, are you? Our restaurant has certain standards." (In which the Straw Hats set out to prove their captain meets certain standards; whether he likes it or not.) Nakamaship.

Abby makes it easy for Tony when she can, and takes matters into her own hands those times she absolutely has to; and right now, as he's sick and pale and on the verge of leaning into her arms but not there quite yet, she absolutely has to. (Tabby!Friendship, drabble.)

Harry stands unflinchingly between his friends and danger as if that's all he's good for, but Ron has always known why. Ron was twelve when he saw the bars on Harry's windows, but it's not as though he's forgotten.

Raph, Leo and Donnie are quadruplets whose baby brother died the day they were born. When Raphael brings home a new friend with wide blue eyes, a face full of freckles, and a brown belt in karate, the whole family gets a taste of what it might have been like had Michelangelo lived. This time, their visiting counterparts were younger, smarter, and a lot better at disappearing into thin air and shadows than the previous ones had been. "We're here looking for our sensei," the little Leo told them. "Maybe you could help?" (2k3/2k12 crossover. "Turtles Forever" tag.)

"There's nothing," Leo heard him sob wetly, and he could imagine the rage in Raphael's green eyes and the grief in Donnie's, but he didn't turn to see. Instead he bundled Mikey up even tighter, pressed his cheek to the top of Mikey's head, and murmured low and sure, "There's us. There's always us." (2K12.)
