Medical student Shelagh Mannion and Doctor Patrick Turner meet again in the 1940s London. It is eight years since they first met during the Blitz in 1941. Based on Jane Austen's Persuasion. There is a SPOILERISH character/theme list at the end of the Ch.1, which may help following the story. I've placed it so that you can skip it easily, if you wish.

This is an AU story of how the people in Poplar find out about the ex-nun and the Doctor romance (after Episode 2.8). I am glad that I waited this long for this as it is now possible to enlighten the character of Sister Julienne more deeply. (There is only one reference to Shelagh as Watson, a quote, and she does not do detective work in this story.)

I might have called this story "A Bit of Moral Contagion" or "Timothy Turner's Sex Education", but as it is mostly an alternative version of Series3 Turnadette, let's dedicate it to Angela. The adoption story is rewritten, the version I wrote in "Seeds Of War" in mind. This is also a fragmentary story, with time jumps, leading us to 1965.

Usually, the seeds of war means the incidents leading to a war, but I mean the seeds that were sown in the WW2 and grew into things after the war. A slightly alternative take on Patrick Turner's war experience and the new Turner Family in 1959. No polio, no grey dress. A white wedding at Christmas with all the nuns and nurses. The characters are not the same as in my other fics.
