Hermione Granger excels at solving problems. She got top marks at Hogwarts, and won a wizarding war. But when she goes to Australia to sort out her family, she discovers that a certain Mr. and Mrs. Granger are not so easily solved.

For the "Burnt Hedwig to the Rescue" challenge on potionsandsnitches: "Hedwig is tossed onto a bonfire with Harry's other belongings, but she manages to barely escape." Hedwig must seek help for Harry, before her injuries and the cold overtake her.

Thirteen-year-old Harry is forced into the body of another Harry in an alternate world, where Snape adopted him years ago. A strange new Snape is enraged to find that his son has been replaced by a stranger. Harry must find a way to survive, and search for a way home.
