Ranma gets sucked into a book that makes him the protagonist of its story, one which follows the past exploits of Twilight Sparkle. Unfortunately for him, he has no idea how the story is supposed to go, or how to leave the book.

Ranma is spirited away by the guardian kitsune of his mother's family, who also happens to be his many-times great grandmother. Her plan to awaken Ranma's kitsune heritage should have been simple, but when is anything ever simple with Ranma?

Believing that the last of the mushrooms of time were destroyed, and faced with the prospect of growing up all over again, Ranma wanders around in a daze. That is, until he bumps into his mother...

The Monkey-Mountain temple appears to have sent a suit to Ranma, which happens to be the shed skin of a dragon half. Later, while on the verge of being defeated by Ryoga's new technique, he decides to try it on. As expected, however, he will get more out of it than he bargained for...
