The year is 2014 AD. Zawame City has replaced war with the Beat Ride, a competition between Beat Rider teams to fight over their right to dominate the city. 20-year old Kouta Kazuraba is brought into the Beat Ride and uncovers mysteries that make him realize that the city and its inhabitants are not as they seem.
