A series of one-shots involving Ash meeting his released Pokémon again and having them reunite with their Trainer on his latest journey across the many regions of the world. First chapter summary: A trip to the Isle of Armor, Ash had intended to be a training opportunity for his latest catches takes an unexpected, but welcome turn when he happens upon a certain Pink Butterfree.

Following Gou's capture of Scorbunny, the Research Fellows remain in Galar a bit longer thanks to their flight back to Kanto getting delayed. Which leads to the two meeting the younger brother of the region's Champion, a regional variant of Serena, one of the Legendary Pokémon of Galar, and two new (and very unusual) Pokémon to join Ash's team.

Alternate Title: Alain's career is ended by the unexpected appearance of a rival to surpass all others. This fanfic probably isn't for Alain Stans if they exist. Simps for the 2nd character in the tags are welcome though.

Alternate Title: Or How The Black & White Anime Should Have Ended. Ash gets his battle with Virgil like we all deserved, Palpitoad gets some deserved screen time, a bunch of Eeveelutions pass a stick around, Scraggy makes a reference, Trip realizes he was never considered an actual rival by Ash, Stephan is happy he is though, and Alder's scared of a little girl. No Virgil tag.

Or: If the anime writers had a little more self-awareness of how predictable their show has become since Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, and Dynamax/Gigantamaxing your Pokémon. Overhearing some chatter from Ash's classmates, leads Rowlet to learn some distressing news that's going on with his Trainer. After some less than helpful words from the Alola Team's newest member, Rowlet wonders if there's something wrong with him, but help comes from a seldom-seen teammate and two of his other teammates helps Rowlet finds his drive to better himself at long last.

Famous last words of Ghetsis when you decide to stop a twerp from meddling in you future diabolical plots. Implications of Suicide on Ash's part, Paul loses his cool, and Ghetsis is bat-shit crazy as usual. Not for the faint of heart.
