6-part Halloween poem for this year. Haven't done poetry in a while, so here's a Halloween treat! Inspired by "Boss Battle - Night" for Sonic Unleashed, to be honest. During a championship track race, Sonic is suddenly thrown into a land where cars are unheard of and concrete is nonexistent. Upon landing in Gaea, Sonic learns he must go from cocky speed demon to precocious young lord within the span of a year by passing several tests of will, strength, and faith...to prove himself worthy of wielding the final Sacred Sword. :EVENT 34 UP!: O/H

Remake of my 2007 work, "Picturesque." What calling did Sonic heed? What made this mysterious black hedgehog so alluring to him? Was it his pillbox eyes? Was it his full Cupid's Bow? Hey, look: Another AU, in which Sonic is a literal hoodrat who's crass, intimidating, and sniffling and Silver is a lost kid who's frail, shy, and wanting to remedy it. Do I need to explain the magnificence that is Mephiblis? Well, in this case - imagine Iblis as a tall, medium-built, stoic housewife and Mephiles as a flamboyant, filthy-rich triple-threat.
